AEM-7 #927
About AEM-7 #927
In November 2024, the organization celebrated the acquisition of Amtrak AEM-7 #927. Built in 1981, #927 represents NRH’s first piece of rolling stock to its collection. The engine operated on the famous Northeast Corridor between Washington DC and Boston, as well as the Philadelphia-Harrisburg Keystone Corridor. It was later rebuilt in the early 2000s, being converted from DC propulsion to AC propulsion. Retired in 2016, it faced an uncertain future. Thankfully, it will live on in preservation!
